Application Process for Surrogate Mother

How to Apply

Yulane Foundation strives to make your experience, from the initial consultation until long after the delivery, the most positive imaginable.  The Yulane Wecare team is here to guide and support your journey in becoming a surrogate mother.

If you are a first time surrogate with Yulane you will be paid $27,000 for the successful delivery of a baby.  If you choose to repeat the process to a successful conclusion you will receive $33,000.

Stage 1. Filing an Application Online
After the application is accepted a video interview will be made.  Yulane’s professional video team will add Chinese subtitles and provide complete post production editing.   Yulane’s intended parents can then watch the video and review your written profile to obtain an idea of who you are.  If they like what they see, Yulane’s intended parents will request an online interview.  If following the interview the intended parents wish to hire you then you and they will enter the documentation process.

Stage 2. Documentation
The Yulane Wecare Team will assist you in compiling all of the required records needed to proceed.  These records include a general criminal background check, medical and psychological screening results, address verification, and so on.  If the intended parents wish you to participate in a home study program, which assists you in remaining healthy during pregnancy, you will receive compensation of $200 for your participation.

Stage 3. Agreement Execution
Once the documentation process is successfully completed, all legal agreements will be signed by both parties.  In some cases, the intended parents may wish to meet you.  If you must travel more than 50 miles to meet the intended parents you will be compensated up to $30 per hour for up to five hours of your time.  Otherwise, there will be no special compensation for the meeting.  Your compensation terms will be defined in the Surrogate Services Agreement.  The amount you will be compensated will be held in an escrow account with an independent and licensed escrow company, to be released to you in accordance with the agreements.

Stage 4. IVF Procedures Started
You will be prescribed Lupron to control your ovulation so that your body can be prepared for the embryo transfer.  For taking Lupron you will receive $250.  For receiving the embryo transfer you will be compensated $500.

Stage 5. Pregnancy
Once seven weeks have passed your fetus will undergo heartbeat testing.  If the fetus passes these tests you will begin receiving compensation of $1,600 every four weeks until birth.  If you are carrying more than one fetus you will receive an additional $825 every four weeks for each additional baby you are carrying.  You will receive the balance of your fees within two weeks of birth with the following conditions:
·         If surrogate delivers the child on or after 30 weeks from date of embryo transfer, all payments listed above will be made even if child is stillborn or does not survive prior to hospital discharge.
·         If surrogate delivers prior to 30 weeks from the date of transfer and child does not survive prior to hospital discharge, the surrogate is entitled only to compensation received thus far, plus an additional prorated amount.

You will also receive a maternity clothing allowance of $500.  For a multiple pregnancy the clothing allowance increases to $250. You will be provided with an additional allowance of $200 per month in the form of expense reimbursement  for general costs related to the surrogacy process, such as calls, faxes, travel less than 50 miles from appointments, parking, meals, postage, and vitamins.

Stage 6. Delivery
All additional variable costs not defined here will be covered in the agreement.
